Leo Karasinski A.I.A., the principal and owner of the firm, first started designing in Cambridge, MA at the office of A.I.A. Gold Medal Winner Benjamin Thompson, one of the founding partners of the Architect's Collaborative along with architectural icon Walter Gropius, founder of the Bauhaus. Leo spent five years working on projects such as Quincy Markets, the Marketplace at Baltimore Inner Harbor, New York University Law School Dormitory and the National Fire Protection World Headquarters, among others. Leo moved on to work at another internationally acclaimed design firm in Boston, MA -- Shepley, Bulfinch, Richardson and Abbott. Design projects included, Kenyon College, McClean Hospital and Northeastern University Master Plan. Upon returning to his native Wyoming Valley, Leo worked at Bohlin, Cywinski, Jackson before opening his own practice in Wilkes-Barre, then merged with a larger architectural/engineering firm where he was an equity partner and Director of Design before leaving to start Karasinski Architecture. Currently Leo provides specialized, professional design services as owner and principal of Karasinski Architecture. |
